- Doug appeared to have good practical experience with SCRUM but since he was 'substitute' instructor appeared to be somewhat at odds with some of the material that he had to cover since it was not his own. Not sure if this was Doug's issue or the course material or just my expectations but I was hoping to gain more insight into how organizations overcome some of the challenges/resistance to adopting SCRUM and the 'gotchas' to look out for. As a senior IT manager looking to implement this more broadly with my development organization this would have been very helpful. Maybe there is another course for Senior IT management that deals with more of these 'softer' issues that are very important? Overall I think Doug did fine with what he had to work with and the limited time it appeared he had to prepare with materials that were already supplied. He did a good job of providing real life examples.
- More emphasis on how to keep the metrics other than a brief slide of what it looks like. I'm not an excel expert.
- I thought it was a very well organized course, and I thought Doug Shimp did an excellent job leading it.
- The course materials and agenda were great. The instructor just didn't do a very good job of going through them in order. He had a hard time staying on topic and just kind of jumped around to whatever he wanted to talk about next.
- Doug showed a clear knowledge and passion for the subject. His insight into managing team dynamics was very helpful.
