- Jean provided us with an excellent course on what it is to be a scrum master. But more importantly she demonstrated the role to us in how she handled the course and in her interactions with us as students. In many ways this was one of the most valuable deliverables from the course.
- Very enjoyable class, open participants who were keen to learn.
- It would be helpful to provide directions to the class. I could not find any sign for Discovery Drive.
- Introduction, definition of terms would have been helpful. It did seem that there was an unwritten prerequisite to have some experience or basic exposure to Scrum. Also would have liked to see instructor more actively critique workgroups as far as their application of Scrum during exercises. Otherwise the course and instruction was great!
- Jean is a great instructor and facilitator! I will make use of many of the techniques I saw her demonstrate.
- Well led class. Jean was obviously experienced and knowledgeable on the topic as-expected.
- The course and instructor were excellent. The application of Agile principles as part of the training made learning the techniques intuitive.
- I believe the slides presented in the course need refinement. Also, there were many excellent posters on the walls, full of information. It would be great to walk away with that material.
- PowerPoint Presentation was great... Maybe a little less details in some slides since we were getting hard copies. But I liked how the instructor turned off the slide when not reading or showing, this way focusing attention back on what she was saying. real world examples and class exercises were helpful
- Great course! I really liked the exercise with the marketing brochure where we were able to experience a condensed version of the sprint meetings.
- The ONLY area I saw for improvement was that for the "tough questions", many people had real questions they wanted to resolve and we didn't get to them. Instead of using them for the exercises, I would have liked to see them addressed earlier/more thoroughly.
- I felt Jean was extremely knowledgable with the course topic (Certified ScrumMaster). She was an excellent facilitator and balanced the right amount of course material, exercises, and questions.
- Jean did an excellent job of guiding the learning process. I preferred to focus on more advanced topics. A more relevant class for me would have been, "Tackling Common Implementation Issues After 1+ Year of Scrum"
- An excellent course with an excellent instructor. This experience has helped me focus on where/what I want my next job to be.
- A very good course, and I liked the group exercises. I do feel that I need to read up more on Agile and Scrum, but the course has given me a very good start to understanding scrum.
- Jean was amazing, and I've recommended her classes to several other folks within the company who are looking to learn more about Scrum. She was also a very gracious host, showing some of us "out-of-towners" around Boulder. She truly went above and beyond all my expectations.

- Jean's presentation skills were exceptional. As a former university faculty member, I was very impressed with her ability in the classroom. Discussions were always interesting, informative and related to the subject matter important to the class attendees. Interactive methods were very effective in demonstrating the topics.
- Overall excellent instructor. The only criticism is that she tended to forget supporting materials, et al. Minor thing.

- Some key terms, such as user story, were not defined in the material. It would be helpful to have a glossary of terms to know before coming to the training.
- Instructor has a good understanding of the material and has applied the practice herself, which proved to be a huge advantage.
- Wow! Colleagues of mine told me Jean was good, but wow! She rocked. By far the best and most knowledgeable instructor of any course I've ever had. It is VERY obvious she feels passionate about what she does and about SCRUM. Highly recommend her!

- Jean was terrific. I attended this course specifically because Jean was teaching it. Living close to Boulder, I have had ample opportunities to attend CSM training my immediate manager told me to attend this particular class because of her.

- Wide range of experience levels within class. This presented both good and bad opportunities. Plenty of good dialogue and shared experiences which was great. However, the length of time spent on the experiences resulted in being rushed through some of the course materials.

- Jean was a great lecturer and I really enjoyed the class. The materials sometimes felt like an afterthought and did not always match the pace or the topic going on at the time. I wish we had had more time to complete some of the exercises we skipped, but with a talkative group that big I thought Jean did the right thing in keeping the exercises she did and skipping over the others.

Since the course, I've had several opportunities to teach others about agile/scrum and I've tried to patter my teaching methods around Jean's techniques.

- I found the course itself engaging and well-timed (2 full days). The supplementary materials are fantastic (copies of the slides and the USB of articles and such). Jean Tabaka was a great facilitator and model for us. I specifically chose her course because I'd read an article in Dr. Dobbs back in Jan 2006, and it was a pleasure to meet her in person and see her in action.
