Jim York is cofounder and President of FoxHedge, Ltd, a process and management consultancy specializing in training and coaching for individuals and organizations seeking to radically reduce time to value through the adoption of Lean and Agile principles and practices. For more than 20 years as a management and IT consultant, Jim has led, mentored, and coached individuals, teams, and organizations in the implementation of Lean and Agile concepts. As a Lean and Agile practitioner, he has performed many roles including developer, analyst, tester, project manager, and product manager. His project work includes process improvement, new product development, cost and economic analyses, transactional and batch B2B interfaces, corporate web sites, performance monitoring, asset management, accounting, and document management and imaging. He has applied Lean and Agile methodologies and practices in companies large and small in a variety of industries including financial services, government/defense, telecommunications, energy, and media. Jim has educated dozens of teams and hundreds of team members in Scrum and Lean and Agile practices. In addition to conducting public and on-site workshops, Jim blends his experience in Scrum, Agile Project Management, Lean Software Development, Extreme Programming, and traditional project management to deliver customized “just-in-time” training to teams. As a Certified Scrum Trainer and member of the Scrum Alliance, Jim actively contributes to the advancement of the Scrum methodology. He has a degree in Mathematics and English from the University of Richmond.
